Source Reliability

3.13.2013 So many thirteens!

Day 25

We'll take a closer look today at source reliability, particularly for sources you may find in the Library Database.

1) Our 3 GRP Sources
Time to decide...

2) Source Reliability (ppt)
Another look at samples:

GRP sample
IRP sample

What language do the writers use in their reliability statements? Are they well-done?

3) Continue work on GRP Annotated Bibliographies
If you have already begun writing an entry for one of the three we chose, you are in luck! Keep that entry. If you started an entry for a source we did not choose, delete it and start with a source that we did choose.

Homework over Spring break: Find 5-6 potential sources for your IRP and begin writing an Annotated Bibliography for them. So far, you should be able to give the source's citation, summarize it, and make a reliability statement. Remember that the sources you choose for your Annotated Bibliography do not necessarily have to be in your final paper--changing your mind is part of the process.
