Day 31 

Today is the first day of the Writing Process Unit! We will consider what it means to synthesize sources. Then, we'll use the information we've gained to fill in a Source Synthesis Matrix and eventually translate it into a Synthesis P-I-E Outline. These are major steps in the writing process that will make writing the essay much quicker and smoother.

1. Source Synthesis (ppt)

We have already done a comparison of our sources using the GRP Source Relevancy Chart here. However, we have not truly synthesized these sources until we note what their similarities and differences are, or how they can work together to create a broader picture. 

As we've seen in the ppt, we have to synthesize these sources in a coherent way in sentences or paragraphs.

IRP Source Relevancy Chart. If you have not started an IRP Source Relevancy Chart, you would greatly benefit from completing one.
